2020 4-H

On Tuesday, March 10th, students from around Breathitt County attended the annual 4-H Speech and Demonstration competition which was held at the UK Building on Quicksand Road.  During the event, students were able to speak about and demonstrate what they knew about a wide variety of topics. Marie Roberts-Caney Elementary School is proud to have several students who won ribbons at the award ceremony which was held directly after.  Those who participated included Tucker Neace, Aiden Combs, Jacob Fugate, Jessica Bowling and Brystal Allen.

    In the speech category, Aiden Combs placed 1st and was also the Grand Champion for the speech competition.  Tucker Neace placed 2nd in the speech competition.  

    In the demonstration category, Brystal Allen placed 1st in the Arts and Crafts category and was also the Grand Champion for the demonstration category for her project on how to make beautiful paper snowflakes.  Jacob Fugate placed 1st in the Science/Technology/Engineering category for his demonstration on skateboard safety.

    Marie Roberts Caney is very proud to have so many of students who participated and placed in this awesome event.
