On Friday morning, MRC hosted a “Measure To Success” Fitness Fair which focused on helping students in grades 3rd – 6th become aware of their health and fitness levels. The fair featured stations which screened blood pressure, heart rate, and pulse oxygen levels. The students had their height and weight checked, and discovered how strong and flexible they are by doing stretches, reaches, sit-ups and push-ups. Everyone’s favorite activity was testing the strength in their hands by squeezing the dynamometer.
Through early education for children, MRC, hopes to provide resources, support, and encouragement to create healthy lives. This event was in collaboration with Hazard ARH and Galen Nursing. Everyone had a lot of fun and received a goodie bag at the end.
