What a great first week of school! Our students, teachers, and parents/caregivers were able to successfully navigate online platforms and video teleconferences while improving technology skills, submitting assignments and building relationships. We are thankful to be a part of a school community that pulls together to put students first. Thank you to all of our students, families, teachers, support staff, and administrators for all of your hard work and collaboration in ensuring this week was a success for our students.
New Re-entry Option Survey. As a district, we need your support this weekend by completing a NEW re-entry survey. We will continue to offer the online (school based virtual) option for students who feel safest while learning from home, and we are also preparing an in-person option for those who would like to return to in-person blended learning on September 28, 2020. The survey link is listed below:
Please complete the survey by 11:00 AM on Monday, September 14, 2020. It is critical that we receive a response for ALL students on the new survey so that school administrators can utilize the data to develop a successful and safe re-entry plan to start in-person classes.
Please understand that the plan is subject to change based upon the recommendations from the Governor’s office and KDE.
As a district, we could not be more thankful for our students, families and caregivers, who provided support this week. We are extremely proud of our teachers, who hit the ground running by delivering standards-aligned instruction throughout the week, and of our transportation and food service staff, who distributed hundreds of meal boxes to our families.
The level of support that we have received from all stakeholders is what will lead us to accomplishing our vision of Graduates Prepared for College, Career, and Community.
See you next week for another great week of school!
