LBJ and MRC Students Compete in 4-H District Speech Competition

On Thursday, February 28, 2019, Breathitt County students competed in the 4-H District Speech Competition.  Sophia Jiang, 4th grade student from LBJ, was named champion in the 9 year old category. Brielle Halsey, 5th grade student from LBJ, received reserve champion in the 10 year old category.  Sixth grader, Taylor Smith from LBJ, captured the champion award in the 12 year old category. Kylan Combs, 5th grade student from MRC, was named champion in the 11 year old category. Brenley Belle Gross, 6th grade student from MRC, was named reserve champion in the 12 year old category.  All students who received champion will advance to the state 4-H competition in July. In the event the champions cannot be present at state competition, reserved champions will present. Congratulations to these students and best of luck at the state competition!
