The Breathitt County Schools Non-Traditional Instruction Program plan is designed to provide an opportunity for learning to continue even on days when school is closed. NTI days were created by KDE in response to significant disruption of instruction and learning loss similar to “summer slide” experienced by districts forced to close a large number of days due to weather or illness events. Non-Traditional Instruction days provide an opportunity for learning to continue even on days when school is closed due to inclement weather or illness. Learning will take place utilizing the same digital platforms that are being used in classrooms across the district. Students will use digital, educational programs they are already familiar with in order to complete assignments. For those students who do not have access to the Internet, a paper copy of assignments will be provided.
