This year the 2013 FFA scholarship recipient is Miss Alyce Combs.

Alyce Combs with KY College Coach, Renée Leveridge

Alyce has been a FFA member for the past three years and has loved her time in this wonderful organization. Her future plans include attending Hazard Community and Technical College in the fall and later transferring to Morehead State University to major in Veterinary Medicine.

The FFA Organization offers $2.1 million in scholarships, with scholarships sponsored by businesses and individuals through the National FFA Foundation. Alyce is being awarded $1,000 from Tractor Supply-Growing Scholars.

Mrs. Sherri Stewart, Breathitt Co. High School FFA adviser was very excited when she found out Alyce was awarded the scholarship, “She has been an excellent and dedicated student for the past three years. We all wish her the best of luck.”

Alyce was very excited as well because this is helping her pay for her college education and helping her get closer to her goal of becoming a vet, “This scholarship means a great deal to me. Receiving this scholarship is going to help me further my education and help me reach my goal, a goal I have always dreamed of. I would like to thank the FFA Organization, Mrs. Stewart, and Renée Leveridge for helping me accomplish so many things this year.”
